Hi,
I am trying to get a machine started that was moved from one location to another. It has a Modicon 984-A131 PLC. I have Schneider Electric ProWorx32 version 2.1 SP1 running on an old laptop with Windows Vista.
I have run into a bit of a challenge. Without having made any changes to the PLC or it's I/O (other than moving the equipment and reconnecting it to a new power source), the PLC powers up fine and I am able to communicate with it in ProWorx. When online, I am able to see my digital inputs change states (when I press a button or change a selector switch), and I am able to see my digital outputs change states as I would expect based on my logic. My problem is that when my digital outputs are turned ON in my logic (as monitored in ProWorx), the actual outputs on my BDAP-210 output modules are not turned ON accordingly. All of the digital outputs on these modules (I have four) remain OFF (as indicated by the LEDs and by measuring voltage at the output terminal) regardless of the state in my logic. (I did verify that I have power going into the terminals that source power for the BDAP-210. This is about 124 VAC at this site, which is a bit high, but I believe still in a range that is acceptable.)
If anyone can offer a suggestion as to what might be the cause of my problem, I would really appreciate it.

SoMachine, Web Visu download csv file
Hello
I have a M251, running a webvisu. I have created a program to create a test report to a *csv file and store it on sd card.
What I want to do next is to allow the user to download the * csv from the webvisu and not via ftp client like Filezilla.
On codesys forums I see there are file up and download options for buttons (click behaviour) but they are not available in Somachine 4.3.
One option I am considering is using the TCP server and steam the file manually from a button click.
I dont want a ftp client as now the customer will then needsoftware on his pc, this plc is a portable test system and will be controlled by many different pc's.
Is anyone aware of a simpler way to do this?

And I am developing an application and the user who is going to use it needs to donwload a graphic that appears on the webvis, with all the information that it contains, does anyone done this before? How? I need some tips.
I have the webvisu up and running I need something like download button to be able to download the info.

Advantage 1: high range resolution and ranging accuracy
Compared with the ISM band with only 200MHz bandwidth in 24GHz band, the SRR band in 77GHz band can provide up to 4GHz scanning bandwidth, significantly improving the range resolution and accuracy. Among them, range resolution represents the ability of radar sensor to separate two adjacent objects, and range accuracy represents the accuracy of measuring a single target.
Because the range resolution and accuracy are inversely proportional to the scanning bandwidth, the performance of 77GHz radar sensor is better than that of 24GHz radar, which is 20 times higher than that of 24GHz radar. In fact, the range resolution of 77GHz radar is 4cm (the resolution of 24GHz radar is 75cm).
High range resolution can better separate objects (such as people standing near cars) and provide dense points to detect objects, so as to improve the environment modeling and object classification, which is very important for the development of advanced driving assistance algorithm and automatic driving function.
In addition, the higher the resolution, the smaller the minimum distance of sensor recognition. Therefore, 77-81ghz radar has a significant advantage in applications requiring high accuracy, such as parking aid.
The 77GHz broadband has high resolution, which can be used for industrial level sensor, so that the sensor can "measure to the last drop" of liquid level - to minimize the dead zone at the bottom of the water tank, as shown in the figure. Moreover, because the high resolution can improve the minimum measurement distance, when the water tank is full, the sensor can measure the liquid level at the top of the water tank.
Advantage 2: high speed resolution and precision
The speed resolution and accuracy are inversely proportional to the radio frequency (RF) frequency. Therefore, the higher the frequency, the better the resolution and accuracy. Compared with the 24 GHz sensor, the 77 GHz sensor can reduce the power consumption.
For parking aid applications, speed resolution and accuracy are crucial, because it is necessary to operate the vehicle accurately at low speed when parking. Fig. 4 shows a representative FFT range velocity image of a point object at 1 m and depicts an improved resolution of a two-dimensional image obtained using 77 GHz.
In addition, recent studies have further improved pedestrian detection and advanced object classification algorithms by using radars with higher resolution and micro Doppler signals. The improvement of speed measurement accuracy is conducive to industrial applications, but also to improve the current situation of traffic detection under the background of automatic vehicles.
Advantage 3: smaller size
One of the main advantages of higher RF frequency is that the sensor size can be smaller. For the same antenna field of view and gain, the size of 77GHz antenna array can be reduced about three times in X and Y dimensions. This size reduction is very useful in the car, mainly reflected in the application around the car (including the door and trunk that need to install the proximity sensor) and in the car.
In the aspect of industrial fluid horizontal line sensing, higher RF frequency can provide narrower beam for antennas and sensors of the same size. The narrow beam can reduce the unnecessary reflection from the side of the tank and the interference of other obstacles in the tank, so as to obtain more accurate measurement results. In addition, for the same beam width, the higher the RF frequency, the smaller the size of the sensor and the easier to install.

archestra alarm client
Hi Guys
I am using archestra alarm client and intouch application and trying to add an acknowledge comment to alarms. The Alarm client has 3 user defined columns as user1, user2 and user3. I want to modify user3 column and assign this column to ack comment. I tried tag.alarmuserdefstr but as clients have their own local database, this dotfield is not writing on main database. I need to use AlarmClient1.AckComment.DefaultValue but I do not know how to connect this to the User3 column or how to show value inserted in this dot field.
Do you have any Idea how I can write and show Acknowledge comment in alarm table?

Pacdrive C400
Hi all,
Just been given a task of modifiying the program in a Pacdrive C400 controller, (a new one on me).
According to Google, the original manufacturer was a German Company ELAU, who have subsequently been obtained by Schneider. It would appear the programming software was EPAS-4, but there is no reference to this on the Schneider website and I can't find any definative answer to the programming package I need to obtain to be able to view/modify the program.
Any info would be appreciated.

Schneider PLC Counter+Timer
Hi there
So I’ve been trying to complete a program to a Schneider PLC in Ladder but having some doubts.
I’m trying to add a timer, this needs to add a block of time every time a contact is cloded (coin validator). Tried so use a counter and a pulse timer, but doens’t add time to it.
Could someone give me any idea?

TSX 17-20 Software
Hello, denizens of Mr.PLC. I'm trying to talk to an old TSX17-20, and have acquired the DOS files for PL7 22. However, when installing via floppy drive, I'm getting a fatal error saying that the User Interface is missing.
FATAL ERROR: 251 Your Telemecanique system in incomplete. Ensure that User Interface is correctly installed.
I'm aware that PL722 (and PL7-1/2/3, etc.) require Telemecanique's DOS User Interface to run, but I can't for the life of me find installation files, and, as it is no longer supported by Schneider, no luck getting it from their site. Apparently, it used to be hosted there.
Would any of you wonderful folk have the links or files to this user interface?
Apparently, PL7 22 5.0/5.1 have never required/no longer require a license. It was a drag to find these files, so I'm posting the PL722 files (in two zips, representing the two floppies) so that there's an easy to find reference for them.

Advantys STB to Omron
I am trying to connect an Advantys RIO island with a STBNIC2212 ethernet/IP to a Omron CJ2 PLC. I need an EDS-file for the Omron Network Configurator but the Advantys Configuration Software will only export to .xsy for NIC2212 (Ethernet/IP), only way to get an EDS is to substitute the NIC with a NDN2212 (DeviceNet), but I doubt that will work in the Omron Network Configurator. There is an EDS file on the SE-website, but it seems to be a different setup than my island. I thought ethernet/IP should be easy :( Any suggestions?

Hello, i came to this forum because im taking Online Cibersec courses, im starting a carreer in cibersecurity and i want to focus in Industrial Cibersecurity,so im making my own mini lab for practices, so far i have an old schneider PLC i got for free, and im lookinf for 2.8 firmware (the plc have 2.7 installed) but i cannot found old formware in internet (just the current). i need 2.8 because it have vulnerabilities discovered and tested.
does any of you have and "firmware archive" or perhaps can guide me about how to find this old version of firmware?

USB Connection of M221/M241 in VMWare
Hello...
I have installed the most recent versions of Eco structure Machine Expert Basic and Eco structure Machine Expert in VMWare Workstation 16 which is configured with Windows 7.
I can successfully connect Modicon M221 & M241 Controllers in VM using Ethernet via Bridge connection of Host and VMWare Ethernet Adapters.
But the software is not able to detect the Controllers over USB Connection.
All the services & Gateway are running normally for USB Connection.
Looks like some issues with the Driver, but I am unable to solve them.
Please check the attached screenshot of the device manager.

Trouble with Citect and Modbus over TCP/IP
Hi, The set up is quite simple, we have a computer with citect connected to a device (Elpro 915U I/O radio) via an ethernet cable (straight through). Citect is running from within a virtual machine and I also have ModMaster test software installed. The problem is that the ModMaster software has no trouble in connecting to the device and reading and writing values to addresses, however citect will just not connect. Citect gives a channel offline error (Generic Error 000021) Driver Error 0x000014. Pinging the device works fine too. I am using Citect 7.30 with the following settings: Board: Board Type = TCPIP Address = 0 Port: Port Number = 1 Special Opt = -I192.168.10.1 -P502 -T (which is the ip address and port of the device) Network Address: Address = 192.168.0.89 (which is the ip address of the pc - also tried without using this setting) IO Device: Protocol = MODNET Startup Mode = Primary Memory = FALSE Basically, I'm just wondering if someone has had a similar problem, where there was something little that needed to be changed to resolve the problem, because I am stumped. TM3BCEIP with M21 and M241 with M580
I have a TM3BCEIP, TM241CE40U, and a BMEP582040.
I am reading IOs from the location of M241 to M580 over EthernetIP using DTM.
(Configured TM241 as EthernetIP Adapter / Slave in M580)
TM241 already has the maximum modules connected and I have to expand some more modules so that I bought TM3BCEIP.
We have two options to read the IO from TM3BCEIP to TM241.
1)Add TM3BCEIP as Ethernet IP Adapter
2)Add TM3BCEIP as Modbus TCP Slave
But after adding the Bus Coupler Module to TM241 by EthernetIP or ModbusTCP we can't use TM241 as Ethernet IP Adapter.
(on EcoStructure Machine Expert 2.0 we can't add the TM3BCEIP and EthernetIP Adapter Configuration at the same timer, we can use either one of them.)
I need very fast data interaction between M241 and M580.
Question 1 - Is it possible to still use M241 as EIP Adapter after adding TM3BCEIP on it?
Question 2 - Is it possible to directly read TM3BCEIP in M580 ? (Where is the EDS file ?)
