Hi there.
Im after some help with the replacement of a TSX 17 PLC. Unfortunately we do not have a copy of the program but it is a very vital machine. It has been running well for 25+ years.
It seems that the PLC unit is dead. 24v in but no lights or anything on at all.
We are hoping to source a direct replacement. We are also hoping that the EEPROM holds the program.
Is there anything we should be aware of? Or anything we should do to ensure a smooth changeover?

Been trying to change the column width of an LD Section (is this possible?) Currently there are 11 columns - I would like a few more if possible
In Tools -> Project Settings -> Program -> LD there is an option 'Number of Columns' - whatever I try and change it to it sticks at 11
At the same location there is a setting for 'Cell Width' - Single, Double, Triple which works fine

In Vijeo-Designer Lite, i configured a dialog table to exchange data between the PLC (ScadaPack 32) and the operator interface (XBT-N400). I added the alarm table function in this dialog table.
The alarm name and the alarm panels has the same name. Th Log element in the Alarm Settings tab is enable. I included a static text on the alarm panel for each alarm. It was necessary to add this static text on the alarm panel because without it, even the live alarms were showing up without any names or description.
When an alarm is generated, the live alarm shows the static text but the historical alarm in the alarm history panel (HISTORY ALRM) does not show the alarm name or the static text.

I have a M251, running a webvisu. I have created a program to create a test report to a *csv file and store it on sd card.
What I want to do next is to allow the user to download the * csv from the webvisu and not via ftp client like Filezilla.
On codesys forums I see there are file up and download options for buttons (click behaviour) but they are not available in Somachine 4.3.
One option I am considering is using the TCP server and steam the file manually from a button click.
I dont want a ftp client as now the customer will then needsoftware on his pc, this plc is a portable test system and will be controlled by many different pc's.
Is anyone aware of a simpler way to do this?

I am doing PROFACE HMI touch screen projects, and I recently came up with an problem. I am using GP-PRO EX software to program and then later I would transfer the project to my PROFACE GP-4501TW. Now I came up with a problem, on one page there is no buttons on labels that I had written, But when I check it on the software its still there. So, its like I have buttons programmed but not showing on the touch screen! Also I can touch the buttons and it beeps and using WINDLDR I had found that the button works but that its somewhat hidden. Later I found out that LAMP FEATURE was turned on that caused the ''invisible button'' to happen. So, when I turned LAMP FEATURE OFF the buttons would return on the touch screen. I tried Preview, Simulation mode but all that showed the buttons. I have attached he pics below

Hello all! I'm new to programming and I would have some help. I have a Schneider m221 plc and i use somachine basic for programming. The question is the following. How can i make calculations like combinations of 7 take 5? and here I am strictly referring to the IN. It can be made simple with NO and NC contacts, but from many program lines it does not move anymore, and the work is colossal. Can a user defined block be able to calculate the number of active IN and to activate an output or something else depending of the numbers of IN? Or any other solution. For example, I want to start 7 machines, and for each machine I have a pump that goes at a certain speed. For a machine i have a value for 2 others and so on .... The analog output side is not a problem, with calculating the number of inputs I do not know how to do it. You can randomly start machine 3 with machine 7, for example, do not turn on, which is why I need for any combination of the 7 machines I started, maybe I have 4 out of 7, just do not know which ones will be 4. How can I count the number of active entries? thankx you!

Hi I am looking for some help. I'm not technical at all with this and came across this forum for plcs. I run a small business in Missouri and we purchased some equipment a few months back. It's a Macdermid Flexlight 5280 to make printing plates with. In it is a Modicon TSX P57102. During the move it lost its memory. We have disks etc to run a back up but I can't access the machine. I'm just not technical enough. We have reached out to everyone and am still coming to a dead end. Just looking for some help. I can pass along any info needed just don't know what is needed. Hello. I have a m221 and use basic somaks to programe it. The problem is the following. I use %mw0:x0 to allocate a button on off HMI, If on the HMI press the button to set him "ON",and pull the voltage from HMI and M221, when power supply, the button is still "ON", it does not return to an initial state "OFF". HMI i use a Weintek 8070 programmed with easybuilder pro. How can I do that when I power the HMI and M221, the button to be OFF, even if the voltage was off when the button was ON. Thank you.

I have an application with a VW3A3608 communicating with a M241CEC24R. I've connected the two together with a CAT5 cable and connected CAN_H to Pin1, CAN_L to Pin 2 and CAN_Gnd to Pin3. The rest of the Pins unconnected. Running SoMachine 4.3 with all the updates. Terminated on the PLC with the switch and at the Drive with the RJ45 proper terminating jack. The ATV320 is setup as Fr1=CanOpen and Communications is setup with the proper node address. Any help appreciated.

I am using KepServer EX V4.0 to read and write network objects ( %IWMx & %QWMx) of M221 PLC via Mobus TCP but it does not succeed although quality show good on OPC client meaning value of registers was changed in OPC client but it did not change in PLC program and vice versa. The unit ID of M221 is 247 and same for device ID in KepSever. Please see attached screenshots of configuration and advise.

Please tell me, I have a device that works schneider TSX P57203 SCADA Works on a program Monitor Pro Schneider Electric, But the program Monitor Pro has recently appeared on some problems And it does not work well, I wanted to reinstall the program Monitor Pro and change some of the controls on the control screen SCADA, but I could not install the program despite all attempts. please help.
I’m new to PLCs and having an issue.
I have Concept 2.1 XL, a project folder from the OEM (no .aac file), and a TSX Compact PC-E984-265 in a PCI/Wedeco ozone generator.
We are doing a hardware upgrade to the machine that requires some logic changes in the PLC.
I load the project and when I connect to the PLC first I get: “LPC Service on PUnit failed! Error id: OLI-21709.” After I dismiss that I get: “Lader logic mismatch checksums are different.” (Currently testing on a blank PLC do to similar errors on the production unit and don’t want to totally kill the production PLC while fiddling around) The messages window has: “update PLC or PUnit (-1644)” The PLC has version 1.05 software on it.
From all of the poking around I have done it seems I may be missing a .bin file in my \Concept\DAT\ directory. I have: M1exec, Q186v214, Q486v212, Q586v100, and Strip_m1 .bin files. Or, I need to update the firmware in the PLC. But, I can’t figure out which I need or where to go to get it.
Any pointers are most welcome!
