Help with ST on M172 please
Hi, I'm new to both structured text and Modicon. I'm having trouble compiling this tiny procedure, meant to scale a number to an integer when the operator changes it. Although I can set the page edit variable to @localparameters.iLTemp_SPt1 with no problems, I can't get this function to compile as either a local or global procedure. What am I doing wrong?

M340 csv File Read
I have an application where data gets placed in a csv file. I need to read data from this file in to memory of a M340 PLC. Is there a way to program the M340 PLC to open and read the file in to an array or is this not possible at the PLC. Looked through google with little success.

M340 NOE IO Scanning of DSE 8610 Gen Contyroller
I am having issues with M340 IO scanning. I have the NOE card next to the CPU which is a 2020 item. I have set the Network for the CPU as 192.168.0.5 and the NOE card as 192.168.0.12. To the NOE card I have connected a Deep Sea Electronics 8610 MkII generator controller which has configurable modbus pages. Its IP is 192.168.0.3. I have set the IO scan tab of the NOE to read the device at 192.168.0.3 starting at remote address 442497 (Page 166 of the DSE, 166*256). for 80 registers and to store them in PLC at %MW300 onward. When compiled this read works perfectly with values being loaded. The problem comes when I try a second read from the same device. This time Page 167 (167*256) at address 442753 which is sent to local PLC %MW380 onward. Now when I compile the code the first page is read OK as prior but the second read shows a "Faulty/Absent" on teh IO scanner debug page and no values are read. If I change the first entry to scan page 167 with page 166 deleted, again all is OK. It seams I am unable to make more than one read of the DSE product. I have spoke with DSE whom state the device can have multi reads from multiple masters and they have proved multiple reads from the same and different devices. I am now at a loss as to what to try next. I hope somebody can provide some insight. I also tryed doing teh second read with a standard READ_VAR command with teh same result. Just wondering if its a NOE thing or a set up thing I have missed.

sick encoder problem
Hi guys.
I have a new SRM50-HAV0-K01 sick encoder for my ELAU servo motor (model: ELAU sm 070-60-010-P0-45-M1-B0), and need to program it according to an old one (which seemingly is broken) via hiperface.

I tried to find any certain way for programming of sick encoders on the net using the mentioned device and software, but cant. all is only about datasheet or how to use teh software without an specific instruction. I am not even sure of that the old one is broken, except that in the analysis mode of the SOPAS (entering via hiperface) I can see the the sin-cosin graph out of its limitation line. The thing is I have bought a special tool which has not any specific instruction and SICK group does not reply any exact instruction for my issue. Here is my questions:

SCADA Citect and OPC Server-Client
Hi,
I am trying to work with OPC server by schneider. I try to do a communication test between OPC Server in my Server and a OPC Client in the other PC in the same network but I am not able to connect the client with the server. The client give me this error: CoCreateInstance returned REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG for server Schneider-Aut.OFS.
Someone had the same problem?

Derived FB Calculation
Hello Everyone,
I am working with an existing project trying to improve the system. I have a Derviced FB Type called NAI_CALC and I cannot seem to reproduce the calculation correctly. The input variable is named UVT and based on live PLC data the value is about 74. The output variable is named NAI and based on live PLC data the value is about 6800. When I do the calculation by hand I am getting about 3700000000. I have included the actual calculation screenshot below. Is there a way to see the output of each calculation block in realtime to confirm my calculations by hand?

Modicon Plus 1000 to plc5
Does anyone have the User Manual for the Modicon Plus 1000?
Trying to program a "ReadOut" template to show the value of a PLC-5 Integer file.
Keeps saying that the "N" is not a valid file type.
I've done this on the Cutler-Hammer PM1000. The Modicon will not allow the C-H program to download, says it's not a C-H product.

Malfunction of Pop-Ups in Vijeo Citect ver-7.5
I have developed Vijeo Citect 7.5 in last 15 Days before at a Plant. During last 15 days scada went good and healthy, But suddenly its pop up window getting stuck after every 10-12hrs. So it is not possible to start/stop motor, drive. when press window button from keyboard then it becomes healthy again.
I am unable to reach at any solution for this problem. Please help me.

SoMachine, Web Visu download csv file
Hello
I have a M251, running a webvisu. I have created a program to create a test report to a *csv file and store it on sd card.
What I want to do next is to allow the user to download the * csv from the webvisu and not via ftp client like Filezilla.
On codesys forums I see there are file up and download options for buttons (click behaviour) but they are not available in Somachine 4.3.
One option I am considering is using the TCP server and steam the file manually from a button click.
I dont want a ftp client as now the customer will then needsoftware on his pc, this plc is a portable test system and will be controlled by many different pc's.
Is anyone aware of a simpler way to do this?

Modbus Communication between Twido and SCADA/HMI
Hi, I've been given a couple Twido PLCs (TWDLCDE40DRF) to create and test modbus communication between devices and a HMI/SCADA software, as of now I haven't been able to work due to IT restrictions (hopefully this will be adressed in the next few days) I can't disable firewalls nor can I manage COMs ports.
My question is, when creating a Master/Slave between a SCADA (master) and a PLC (Slave) do I need to write any code in the Twido PLC, or I just need to configure de ports/adresses to be able to read the info in the plc?

Modicon Quantum Hotstandy
dear all
i have 2 NOE cards (network TCP/IP card) on a modicon quantum hotstandby system, one NOE install at primary CPU and one on secondary CPU. both NOE cards communicate with InTouch through same switch. the problem is that i can't write data to the plc whenever both NOE card are on the network. when i remove the standby controller from the network i can write data to the plc.
the switchover of hotstandby is tested and working fine.
can anyone tell what i am missing here.
