M241 Modicon Modbus TCP Slave input register reading problem

I have been trying to configure my Modicon M241 PLC to act as a Modbus TCP slave using the built-in 'ModbusTCP_Slave_Device' option. I am using Radzio Modbus Master as TCP Master Simulator on my PC. Problem is I am able to read and write the Holding registers but not able to read the input registers. The Modbus Master simulator returns the message : 'Modbus Timeout Error'. On sniffing the traffic using WireShark, the PLC Modbus slave seems to reply Illegal Function, error code = 1 in response to a read request made by the master for input registers. Can you guys suggest some solution for this?

Do we need to separately set the read permission for input registers of Modbus TCP map - if so, how?

I have a customer with two machines that have TSX17 PLCs on them. I need to back up the programs and eventually convert them to a newer PLC. What programming cable and software do I need? Machine 1 has the following: TSX17 F4002TSXDTF400Machine 2 has the following: TSX17 F4002TSXDSF612Thanks!

Hello,

Could somebody to look my ladder code. I want to run motor, but my inverter ATV320 show status ready and ETA word is 16#0033. I send command word 0x000f, but motor doesn't run. Inverter and PLC don't show error message. I don't know why inverter doesn't run.

Connect to old Premium plc TSX572623

Hello i have faced problem with connecting to Premium plc TSX572623. I don't have RS485 cable for AUX or TER port on that plc. Plc has ETY Port, but my attempts to connect with it was unsuccsesful. I tried use 2 software:

1) Unity Pro XL 11, in this software i found tcp/ip communication, made test connection from driver manager, plc had link. But when i trying go online unity informed that plc was busied or something. I have checked Unity PRO XL 11 don't have in hardware configuration model of this PLC. I think problem with it.

2)I found old software PL7 and owner of this plc gave me *.stx project of it. PL7 have model of this plc in hardware configuration, but i didn't find how to connect via ETY port. In menu "define plc address" i can choose only UNTLW01 driver. I had googled before writing this post and found that i need XIP driver. But i can't find this driver on Schneider electric web site.

Where i can get this XIP driver and how properly set parameters for reaching connection?

How can I log the user action  at citect scada 2016 v8.0 

I wan to log what the user done on scada like alarm acknowledge, disabiled or eneblied, enter any new valu of signal... ect..

i have a plc Modicon M340 , HMI hmigxu3512x and VSD Altivar 71, and i only allowed to use serial MODBUS port in plc, now the VSD is a slave and is controlled with plc as a master how can i add the HMI to this configuration?? i know that this model of HMI can be slave but then how it will give orders to PLC to start stop etc.. and if PLC is slave how it will control the VSD??

Poteniometer or Slider Bar in Vijeo Designer 6.2

I have a program that I as building in SoMachine V4.3 and Vijeo Designer 6.2. Everything is coming together well at this point but I can't seem to figure out if I can put a poteniometer type object on the HMI using Vijeo Designer. This will be used to control the speeds of some VFD that are connected to the PLC. I have found ways to use a meter or simple numeric input it change the WORD that controls the drive speed. I would really like to use a knob or slider bar as I believe it would be a nice function.

I've tried it on two different Magelis screens that I will be using for two different projects. One is a HMISCU8A5(controller and HMI in one unit) and the other is a HMIGTO3510.

Hi,

Am new to Forum,

In existing condition TWDLCAA24DRF PLC is connect with  XBTGK2330 HMI (Serial). Now we updating the PLC to TM221CE24R. In HMI, the same driver can communicate with new PLC? 

Without modifying the HMI driver how can i Update the PLC?

Freewheeling stop in Altivar71

i am using a VSD Altivar71 and controlling it through serial MODBUS communication, the probllem is sometimes after stoping the motor the drives gives the "nst" fault which means according to the programming catalouge "freewheel stop" it doesn't do that all the time but it happens a lot and after uploading the code again to plc the problem is gone for a while before it happens again. i am sure that the fault is happening because if communication because when i controll the drive from hmi it never gives that fault, i checked the setting and tried different cables but it still gives "nst" and motor never moves, i found that in catalouge but i am not sure how to address the problem.

Telemecanique TSX47405 - PLC7-3

I have a problem whereby I require PLC7-3 programming software in order to upload and reverse engineer an old Telemecanique PLC. Sneider Electric aren't being very helpful - unfortunately this is all legacy kit which doesn't seem to have very good support. The PLC7-3 ran on OS/2 Warp.... which I have running on a Virtual Machine - but the software is eluding me. Does anyone have a copy or know where I can get it from? Thanks In Advance

I have a program that was developed in modicon Concept, dont know what version it is. I tried to  open  with the version 2.6 XL but when i tried to open  the .prj file, it says the version does not match..is there a way or how to convert this program to version 2.6 Concept?

Hi, I am new in Unity Pro and trying to make connection between PLC (Modicon M580) and HMI (Magelis HMIG3U) over Ethernet cable.

Question: 

What is meaning of 0.0 : EIO : CommHeadDIOL2 (look the picture attached)? Which IP address does it define and what for?
